Welcome to SnapClip: Smart Clipboard. Your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data within the application.
SnapClip: Smart Clipboard is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app collects the latest clipboard data ONLY when it is opened or brought to the foreground. Any notes you add are also stored exclusively on your device. We do not monitor your clipboard in the background.
All your clipboard history and notes are stored in a private, encrypted database on your local device. We do not use cloud storage, nor do we sync your data to any external servers. Your history remains entirely under your control.
We do not share, sell, or transmit your clipboard data or notes to any third parties. Your data never leaves your device unless you manually choose to share a specific snippet using the Android share system.
You have full control over your data. You can delete individual snippets, perform batch deletions using multi-selection, or clear your entire history through the Settings menu at any time. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
The app requires Clipboard Access to function. It operates primarily offline and only accesses the latest clipboard content when the app is in the foreground (including when launched via the Quick Settings tile), ensuring your records remain secure.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to keep the app free. AdMob may collect certain device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. However, AdMob does not have access to your clipboard history, notes, or any personal data stored within the app.
Content detection and link preview metadata (such as website titles and icons) are performed to enhance your experience. While fetching URL metadata requires a network request, your clipboard content itself is never sent to external servers for tracking or storage.
